Callaway X-18 Pro Series

Summary:
Changed to these to add a little forgiveness to the game, but got rid of them after about 20 rounds. I found it impossible to work the short irons, play knock down shots or chip around the greens. They are difficult to hit cleanly off tight lies and on links courses.

I have switched to TM RAC TP forged and they suit me better. (I kept the X-18 pro series 2 iron in my bag and it is superb off the tee on short par 4's)

Callaway do make good equipment, I currently use a FT-5 driver and it is a good club, but their range of game improvement irons are terrible, chunky things to be avoided at all cost if you are any kind of decent ball striker

Customer Service:
Very good, speced 2-pw with x-100 shafts and the delivery time was excellent

Similar Products Used:
MP30 (good clubs), RAC LT's (solid clubs with rifle shafts), Titleist 690 CB's (very good irons, though a little harsh feeling)

callaway x-18

Summary:
Well originally i bought these clubs to match what i already had with the callaway name. I can already tell you that with just the feel of the weight distribution on the club its solid! Ive tried it out at the range and already see a difference with feel, control, and distance. It has a crisp snap to it when struck on point. These irons is already giving me a 10-15 yard difference in distance. I love this club and it looks really good in your bag!...I think it can help any golfer from the novice to intermidiate level. HANDS DOWN!

Customer Service:
Well i bought the set at "SPORTS AUTHORITY" out here in oregon. The customer service is A-1! No joke. I know that this store doesnt specify in golf but they have the product and the people that know what they are talking about. Plus they knocked the price down by $100. Thats always a plus!.

Callaway X-18 Pro-Series Irons

Summary:
These clubs are really great, and I got them at an exceptional price (like new condition, 3-PW, dynamic gold steel shafts - $280). I'm about a 5 - 10 handicap, depending on how much I've been playing lately, and have been really impressed with these new sticks. Nice controlled ball flight, and minimal lost distance on toe (stays straight) or heel (gentle fade). Confident looking at address - they might appear bulky at first, but you'll adjust quickly. 5-iron from 210 to 2.5 feet? I'm sold. PW puts nice spin on the ball. Club heads are a bit heavier than average which I love. You won't be disappointed with this!

Customer Service:
Bought from callawaypre-owned.com; they have GREAT customer service, deliver on time, and the best deals on sparingly used clubs you can find.

Top Flite tour irons for 10+ years; tested Ping s59 tour irons, callaway x-forged, callway x-20 tour.

Callaway X-18 Pro Series Project X 6.0

Summary:
I'm club builder and have been since the 80's. I've seen and hit about every iron made by the OEM companies and the "clone" component stuff from Golfsmith, Dynacraft, etc...The one thing I've always known is that NO ONE has the technology that Callaway has in their clubs. You can look at virtually any other clubs around, and other than pretty paint and maybe a little weight distribution changes, most clubs feel similar to the others depending on shaft choice and grip. Heck the grip alone can me a set feel entirely different. But I digress....bottom line you can't buy Callaway technology anywhere else but from Callaway. Yes I build custom sets, but I simply can't build Callaways. The X-18 Pro Series are simply the best club I've ever played with, period. I'm a long iron hitter, and with these I added a little more distance, like spinning a pitching wedge back from 140 yards out....uphill! I thought with the Project X 6.0's they would be too stiff and I'd be coming out of my shoes trying to hit the ball....nope. I just swang them and the rest just happened. 200 yard 5 iron into a par 3, no sweat. Playing an 8 iron back in your stance to knock it down just enough to sneak it under an oak tree from the other fairway rough and still then have enough ball control to have the shot stop on the green for an easy par....simple. Kid you not folks, like the other review for the same clubs said, if your a decent player looking to move to the next level and hit more greens, BUY THESE CLUBS!

Customer Service:
Has always been tops...always will be.
