Scratch Golfer Model Reviewed: Ben Hogan Apex II Summary: I played competitive golf in High School and College as well. Just not good enough to go to the next level. I played with cavity back irons all through that time. I got tired of hitting the ball pure and flying greens, long is no good on any course you play. I also found that when I missed the ball slightly, I was short sided to the pin because the super forgiving irons still almost went the same distance. When I finally started playing the Apex II irons, I found that my game improved because when I hit it good, it went the distance I wanted it to go. When I hit mis-hit it a little it came up slightly short and I had more green to work with and was chipping up hill more often. I highly recommend these irons, as well as other forged irons for many players.

Shoots in the 70s Model Reviewed: Hogan Apex II Summary: My Handicap is 10 and has been now for 6 months. I picked up these blades out of a friend of a friend's garage and fell in love with the feel. To put it simply, "Beautiful!" If you know how to swing a club then I strongly recommend playing them.

Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Apex II Summary: Absolutely love the set of Apex II that I picked for very cheap. My father gave me a set for my first set and I traded up for some technology only to long for a set of these Hogans again. I finally found some and picked them and I have not hit a different club since purchasing these. I regularly shoot in the low to mid 80's and squeak a round in the 70's from time to time. You can definitely feel the bad shots and there is nothing like hitting the ball pure with these clubs.

Shoots in the 100s Model Reviewed: Ben Hogan Apex II Summary: I don't get to the course much, but I had to write about these clubs. I have had my Apex II's for 18 years. I played with them for about 15 years before buying a new set of Wilson Staff irons with graphite shafts. Once a year a group of us play at Pinehurst. I played with my Wilsons and it was like playing hockey on the fairways. I was not able to break 120. After a 4 month break from golf I switched back to my Hogan Apex II Forged Blades and shot a 107. The fairway play was great. Most of the 107 came from inconsistent chipping and awful putting. My best rounds, though still in the low 100's minus 1 fluke 95, have been played with the Hogan Apex II's in the bag. The feel and accuracy of these clubs is second to none.

Shoots in the 80s Model Reviewed: Hogan Apex II Summary: I am 32 and I ahve been playing the old Hogan Apex II's for about 13 years. They were "old" when I picked them up but I cannot find a club I like better. I can shape shots and actually feel if I hit it good or not. They have made me a better player. I would recommened them to anyone who is a 15 handicap or less.
